Eickhorn Pohl One E.D.C. Knife
The name stands for the program. With the POHL ONE Eickhorn has realized the first draft designed by the well known knife expert and designer Dietmar Pohl of the Solingen high tech production.
In cooperation with military trainers from the USA an operational folding-knife was developed that perfectly serves the particular job-profile of special task forces, but which is also ideally suited as a daily companion for civilian use. The blade is made of high end stainless Boehler N695 steel (HRC 58) it’s special strength in the knife’s point.
The large blade lifters attached at both sides as well as the flip-guard guarantee that the blade can always be opened quickly, even with gloved hands. A decisive asset, especially in extreme situations. The design of the grip allows several different grip holds, where Dietmar Pohl placed highest value on safe handling.
In order to be able to use the POHL ONE even with clammy hands Eickhorn as one of the first Solingen manufacturers uses CNC machined AIMg 3 Alu handle with rough grip surface. Two 1,5 mm liners made of tempered stainless steel as well as an aluminum spacer covering practically the entire length of the back of the grip to ensure that the knife will not yield even under high pressure. A belt clip secured with torque screws keeps the POHL ONE E.D.C. in the tip-up position, always at the ready. Design ingenuity and manufacturing expertise come together in the Eickhorn Pohl 1 EDC. Made in collaboration with SWAT trainers from the United States it was designed to their specific requirements for special forces needs, but also as an ideal companion for civilian use.
