Puma Cougar Hunting & Collectors Knife
The “cougar hirschhorn” model is a true designer piece that performs just as well in use as it does in a collector’s showcase – by PUMA Solingen.
The “cougar” model was designed by Richard Hehn, one of the most renowned knife makers in Germany. It has been part of the PUMA program for decades and has not lost its mystique to this day.
The blade is made from the rust-free steel type DIN 1.4112 and hardened up to 57 HRC.
A particular feature is also the knife’s construction: the blade and the one-piece handle made from steel casting are separate elements that are joined together in a special process. The blade has a short tang that is inserted into the handle through an opening and then firmly riveted. Afterwards, the double-sided riveting point is covered with a polished, steel cap bearing our company logo, the well-known diamond with the head of the puma.
