My second Puma Messer after my beautiful Rüdemann 40 mit Hirschhorngriff.
This “Tradition” Jagdnicker is an icon of classic Bavarian hunting knives and mine came with a razor-sharp edge (I accidently did some “Schneiten Test” with my own hand!).
Like any other Puma Germany knife, I was able to spot the mark of “authenticity”, a little dot left on the knife blade after the HRC test.
The knife handle made of Hubertus stag is just gorgeous and the image of the cross and the deer on the butt cap gives this knife a real traditional look.
A beautiful piece of collection and I would love to take it with me to the Oktoberfest (Too bad, I can’t even drink!).

The image on the knife pommel is the icon of St. Hubertus the patron saint of hunters, dogs and foresters and as the tradition goes, he was an avid hunter himself.
In Germany, as I’ve come to learn, hunting seems to be more than just sports but indeed “Tradition”, and there is also something sacred about it.
As a devout Christian myself, I’ve learned a little bit about my faith through this beautiful Jagdnicker, and as an avid Messer Jäger, my hunt continues!
