PUMA White Hunter Mammoth Edition – 70th Anniversary
70 Years of the White Hunter. 70 pieces. An extraordinary piece of PUMA history. For the 70th anniversary of the legendary PUMA White Hunter, we present an edition that combines tradition, Solingen craftsmanship, and the special charisma of a rare natural material: the PUMA White Hunter Mammoth Edition.
The White Hunter was originally developed in 1956 for the East African Professional Hunters’ Association (EAPHA). From the very beginning, it was designed as a reliable universal knife for demanding hunting and outdoor applications. Its characteristic blade shape combines a sturdy tip, a versatile cutting edge, and a serrated back. This combination made the White Hunter one of the most famous hunting knives of its time—and a classic that has lost none of its fascination to this day.
The Mammoth Edition continues this story in a particularly exclusive form. Each of the 70 strictly numbered copies features handle scales made from selected mammoth molar. The individual structure and coloring make each knife an unmistakable, one-of-a-kind piece. A stylized mammoth laser engraving on the blade underscores the character of this extraordinary anniversary edition.
Thoughtful Handle Construction Beneath the mammoth molar handle scales lies an elegant black vulcanized fiber inlay. It creates a clear visual contrast and ensures a high-quality, harmonious transition between the materials.
The mammoth molar handle scales are permanently bonded using a high-performance two-component adhesive. Additionally, the handle is mechanically secured with hidden rivets. This creates a resilient and durable connection, while the outside of the handle retains its clean, undisturbed aesthetic.
The knife is manufactured in Solingen. The robust construction, the rust-resistant 1.4116 stainless steel, and the proven White Hunter geometry make it a premium companion for hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and collectors. At the same time, the edition is a tangible piece of PUMA brand history—created to be used, preserved, and passed down.
