If Mick Dundee said, “That’s not a knife. This is the Knife.”, I would say, “That’s not a knife. This is the Sword!”. This German Bowie knife is a lot bigger and heavier than I ever imagined and the double handguard of the knife resembles that of the sword carried by the Crusaders.
Here in Japan, no seller makes this fine German Beauty available to us but thanks to G.K.S., I’m pretty sure I am the only one who owns this stunningly beautiful knife.
Having a solid full-tang design with a thick, beefy blade (nearly 6mm thick), this beast is born to triumph deep in woods and despite its sturdiness as a Bowie knife, it also possesses a quality as a collectors knife.
It is a beautiful Solingen blade which I think German people ought to be proud of.
It is also a cluster of fine German craftsmanship that has survived to this day and I wish they would continue to preserve this treasure in many years to come.
