Hunters and knife connoisseurs familiar with the PUMA knife manufactory appreciate our classic “Waidbesteck” (traditional hunting knife set), which was developed in the mid-20th century by OFM Walter Frevert. It still remains a staple of traditional hunting gear today. However, at PUMA, we see ourselves not only as guardians of inherited traditions but also as creators of new ones!

Following the successful launch of the three HUNT TO SURVIVE knife models—developed by PUMA in collaboration with Frankonia and adventurers John, Philipp, and Niklas—we now present our modern interpretation of the Waidbesteck. These knives are reliable companions, built to withstand extreme situations and provide dependable support—not only in the Canadian wilderness (YouTube: Hunt to Survive).

We now offer the Frischling and Keiler models with a combo leather sheath, allowing you to carry both knives securely on your belt or gear.

The small PUMA Frischling is a perfect backup knife, also suitable for delicate cutting tasks. Its skeletonized construction makes it lightweight and easy to handle.
The large PUMA Keiler is ideal for bushcraft and outdoor use; challenging tasks like chopping wood, field dressing game, or cutting thick materials pose no problem for its massive blade. The G10 handle ensures a secure grip.
The included high-quality combo saddle leather sheath reliably holds the PUMA Waidbesteck HUNT TO SURVIVE.
